No more queuing at French Motorway Tolls for me.

Bought a French toll tag saneftolling.co.uk

20 euros a year rental, plus 5 euros per month used (upto a maximum of 2 months) toll fees are taken by direct debit.

Worth it for a number of reasons

1). I drive in France at least twice a year

2). no more waking my co driver for the tolls

3). no more loosing toll tickets

4). no more waiting for my co driver to rummage in her mislaid purse for the toll fee !

5). no more " can you move the car please, I cannot reach the ticket slot!!!"

6). no more waiting in long queues to pay

RESULT  :) :) :)

....we might not use motorways..... ;)

However

1)  ....I try not to

2).....I don`t let any one sleep in my car, especially how I drive

3).....don`t buy them.....the Spitfire goes under barriers

4)......prepared plastic bags of smallest denomination coins for the attendant to count

5)........you mean you don`t do a handbrake turn and go through backwards?

6).......queues ? do like the French and don`t bother, push your way through

Result....happiness is beating Howard to the Kyriad bar before he says........."Hey you owe me a pint don`t you?"

Not always possible when on holiday, especially in a Range Rover,

1). Nothing wrong with French roads, just as many Cock Mobile drivers as over here

2). you try stopping my wife from sleeping! anyway the peace and quiet of longer sleeps will be well worth it!

3). It might go through a barrier, but certainly not under it.

4). these would get lost too

5). see 3 above

6). as its her Rangie, I get into more trouble for doing that  ;D

I remember you approach to toll roads last 10cr ...

Toll roads on the 2011 10CR, did I miss something?
The only one we encountered (except for the Swiss motorway vignette) was the Timmelsjoch.
But I managed to cross the toll booth free of charge  ::)

Couldn't they find the rate for for toy cars - the ones you have to push :)

What Gaz means to say is I made the wrong choice at a junction and we had to drive about 45 miles south before we could get off the bloomin road and head north again.

It was one of what Bobbyspit refers to as Thompsons Tours  :B :B :B

Hence the late arrival at the Rolduc.

I remember but I was refering to the drive through a barrier and not getting the ticket and being given a 300 euro bill on the exit!
