Doug Foreman: Herald 13/60 (He's back and up for it)! Class AGood stuff, need some more entries to ensure that we can economically run the event. It would be superb to have 40 entries, if successful and there is no reason to think that it will not be, the event will become an annual fixture within the CT calendar. As can be seen from the Announcement/Regs, we will be running 4 classes. The minimum for each class is 3, below that and the class will be amalgamated with one that is most suitable. All entered cars must be road going. Cars must have driven to the event via the public highway. Class A: 1300, Acclaim, Dolomite, Herald, Spitfire, and Toledo models up to 1700cc.Class B: GT6, Vitesse, TR2 – TR7 up to 2700ccClass C: 2000/2500 Saloon, Dolomite 1850, Dolomite Sprint and Stag up to 3000ccClass D: Triumph specials over 3000cc and TR7 V8 and TR8Entry closes on the Wednesday before the event. sparky_spit
I am desperate to compete in this event, especially as it's our 1st; the only problem is that the date is also my youngest son's birthday. We usually have a big family party for the kid's birthdays but he's been talking about going to Amsterdam with his mates this year. So I think I'll encourage that idea.... Raider
I am thinking about this but there are competing claims!1) In theory a stage rally which would definitely be first choice if the MSA would let me take part.2) A road rally at Knockhill which I am being invited to enter3) A family celebration of wedding anniversaries. Why do all these things come at once? Not forgetting I am reliant on other people to drive anyway :-/
Tim Bancroft
Better get Andy and Sarah to enter and get someone to bring the TR7 down then!Come on!

steve_1360
I'm hoping to enter but not sure what 'All vehicles must comply with MSA Technical Regulations' mean exactly? I'm not familar with the techincal regs for autosoling so a brief summary of what i need to do to pass scrutineering would be ready useful. Or which section of the blue book should i look in.RegardsSteve
Tim Bancroft
Steve,Nothing to worry about: All we ask is that the car is roadworthy, was driven to the event, has its battery clamped in position and that throttle return springs are present.Class A and B look like being very competitive! Keith
Thinking of entering but I've let my MSA licence lapse, can someone advise what licence is needed, and what the current MSA technical requirements cars to be eligible are?Keith
Raider
You won't need a comp licence Keith.Regarding the car - I would think if it's in good condition and the battery earth lead is identified with yellow tape you'll be fine.
Tim Bancroft
Don't even need the yellow earth lead.
