This is amazing you know.

When was the last time there were 30 Club Triumph members entered in a competitive event?

And when was the last time in a CT organised event?

Or so many Triumphs entered?

(clap)(clap)(clap)

Blimey, the event is shaping up.

Should anyone wish to come along to watch etc, no issues. However please remmber motorsport is dangerous etc. Also of course, no dogs allowed on the premises!

Thats a bit of a bummer for you Mike, Tim says you're not allowed to bring the Herald..

cheeky boy! - that's ripe coming from the P&P 2008 Show and Shine class winner "Best Shed"  :-)

Be a miracle if the Herald even gets out the garage!

I wouldn't bet on me being any good at this at all :)

Takes me an age to get used to someone else's car, and trying to be competitive in it is another matter... (i.e. you don't want to hurt it)

I will however be bringing along camera and video to try to get something good for everyone to see :)  (we can even put the camera and it's suction mount in anyone's car)

Right then Tim

:-/Been thinking about this for a while, never been on a track or in a competition of any sort, apart from RBRR & 10cr, so if your not expecting to much thought i might give it a go , will stick entry in post tommorow.

Pete.

Nice one Jon, haven't seen you and Diane since Goodwood !!
Your absence at Cadwell was duly noted.

Why thank you kind sir. :)
Stiglet has not stopped telling me how she was taken round in a real Triumph driven by a proper driver :P

Yes we are so looking forward to it as this year with my job loss has been, err different.

Am thinking of doing a vented brake set for the Spitty type cars so if anyone has an old battered front upright they can bring along I would be most grateful.

Jon,

Just pleased that you and Diane are taking part.

I have a couple of old vert links lying around, not sure if Spit or GT6, anyone know how to differentiate?

Pete,

Entry shuts tonight, so would be better if you could complete the form and e-mail, no big problem if you cannot as you have a entry. Just makes admin easier as I want to finish off alot of the paperwork this evening.

Thanks to the membership for signing up to have a go, great reponse and hopefully the start of a new direction for the Club's driving activities.

Tim, spitfire hace the caliper mounts cast as part of the upright, GT6 uses an adapter (although some early heralds also used an adapter, I believe you have a pair ;) )
I need to speak to Jon, may have a dig about for some uprights.

Tim, just to forewarn you if I can't the GT6 sorted and re-tested in time I'll have to bring the Stag, does this cause you any probs?
As soon as I know for sure I'll e-mail you but it might not be until Saturday.
Cheers,
Floyd.

Got to say its real fun to be part of the team organising this, all four of us: Nigel, Dale, Ellis and me are having a good time-Hope the event runs smoothly!! Old Stokes is def gonna be 'Gruppenfuhrer Timekeeper' though!

We have deciided to add another award: 'Fastest Lady Driver'. Hope not viewed as sexist?

Only as long as there is a fastest bloke driver award as well.

Hold-on, a man is always going to be the fastest so we will just make do with the FTD award.

:-)

Damn cheek...  As a famous football manager was once quoted saying... I'll tell them my side of the story, they can tell me how they see it, and then we'll agree I'm right !!!  ;)

"Statto" here!

Did you realise that 5 out of the top 10 in the Driver's Challenge  taking part?

And that Mike Bishop,Michael Melm and Tim Bancroft in the top 3 places are entered?

And as it's a CT competitive event there's lots more points available?

1st 16 points
2nd 14 points
3rd  12 points
4th  10 points
5th 8 points
6th and all finishers 6 points

(I don't think there are any long distance points to be claimed but if there are - let me know!).

So, all in all I can't wait to see how it all pans out :)
