sparky_spit
As the 2016 series has not yet finished I'm unable to add the 2017 list and table of events yet, but here are the first 3 month's events that will be used. This means that you can plan ahead and get entries in where necessary.January - 6th, CSMA 12 Car, or 27th, which is the CMC January Jaunt 12 Car. You can claim either of these, but not both, for the Mini-Series.February - 3rd, CSMA 12 Car, or 26th, which is the CT Warks Winter Wander 12 Car. You can claim either of these, but not both, for the Mini-Series.March - 12th, Bedford CC 12 Car, or 24th, which is the CMC Tendring Hundred 12 Car. You can claim either of these, but not both, for the Mini-Series. Expand the events list (in the right-hand panel) for more details of each event and for regs/entries etc.

Radders
Quoted from sparky_spit Entries are now open for the CMC Tendring Hundred 12 Car on the 24th Feb - see https://chelmsfordmc.co.uk/ I believe Mr Wake is organising this one, so cant compete. So, is anyone free to navigate for me? If not I'll have have to settle for a freezing cold layby marshalling instead. 🙂

malcty
Mike. i am happy to marshall 31st march if needed. Malcolm Philpott.
sparky_spit
Hi Malcolm - This event isn't actually a CT rally, but a CSMA (now renamed "Boundless") event. However, I'm sure they would be delighted to get another person to marshal, so please contact Bernard Ward, the organiser, directly. I don't want to publish his phone number and email here in plan sight, but they are on the 3rd page of the Final Instructions that are attached in the post a bit further up above.Cheers - Mike

sparky_spit
Just one CT crew were out last night competing in the CMC Tendring Hundred 12 Car, which was run around the Tendring peninsular and which managed to pack 45-odd miles into a seemingly tiny area. CT were well represented with no fewer than four members marshalling on the event, and the event itself was very well received by the crews taking part. Well done Mr Wake! Results were:Steve Radley/Mark Rutter - Mk1 Saloon - 3rd Overall, 2nd Expert - 2 Fails 15 MinutesThis makes the mini-series table at this point today look like:Mark Rutter - 31ptsMike Banks - 16+1M ptsColin Wake - 15+1MptsMichael Helm - 1MptMike Bishop - 1MptHowever... there is also the Warks Winter Wander running tomorrow (Sunday) where points gained in that are allowable too, so you may see Colin Wake substitute his marshalling point from yesterday for another finite point gained tomorrow. Decisions, decisions...As mentioned elsewhere, entries are now open for March's events.
richard w
Hi Steve.I can navigate with you if you're still interested. I'm a bit inexperienced in the left hand seat, but I'm happy to give it a go if you want 🙂See you tomorrow anyway.Richard
sparky_spit
The Warks 12 Car results are now available (see the specific thread) and these have been added to the mini-series results table. Steve Radley/Colin Wake won the "CT Class" within the event and Colin has obviously decided to replace his marshalling point for this month with 16pts for a win. The curren points tally is now:Mark Rutter - 31ptsColin Wake - 31ptsMike Banks - 16+1M ptsCharlie Deards - 13ptsNigel Abdulha - 12ptsDale Barker - 12ptsMichael Helm - 1MptMike Bishop - 1MptEllis Stokes, Darren Armitage and Phil Stanley still to score. The CSMA Boundless 12 Car ran on Friday night, but I have no results from that yet, and the Bedford CC event on the 12th March can still be entered - http://www.bedfordcarclub.org.uk/calendar/calendar.htm
sparky_spit
A quick update to add Phil Stanley's points from the Warks Wander, which I had unfortunately missed. Sorry Phil!An excellent result; 2nd overall CT crew, and in his 1st event ever. Well done.Mark Rutter - 31ptsColin Wake - 31ptsMike Banks - 16+1M ptsPhil Stanley - 15ptsCharlie Deards - 13ptsNigel Abdulha - 12ptsDale Barker - 12ptsMichael Helm - 1MptMike Bishop - 1MptEllis Stokes and Darren Armitage still to score
sparky_spit
Another good result for CT crews competing last night in the CMC March Hare. Although actually not a mini-series eligible event, I'll report it here for convenience:CT crew results were:Mike Banks/Mark Rutter - Spitfire Mk3 - 1st Overall/1st CT - 0 Fails 5 MinutesSteve Radley/Colin Wake - Mk1 Saloon - 5th Overall/2nd CT - 1 Fail 3 MinutesThe next mini-series events are the CSMA 12 Car on the 31st March, and the CT HCR on the 8th/9th May. sparky_spit
Another event has been added to the mini-series to fill a gap for May. This is the Anglia Motor Sport Club 12 Car Regularity Rally on the 28th May.The event starts at 0900/1000 on the Sunday morning near to the A12 at Marks Tey. The route will be approx 50 miles and will finish at a pub for lunch afterwards. The event sections will be timed to the second. Entries are open now, and these and the Regs are available at https://chelmsfordmc.co.uk/node/5276If you have any questions, please contact me by PM or email. sparky_spit
I now have the full results for the HCR that ran in April, and have added these to the mini-series table:Mark Rutter - 42ptsColin Wake - 41ptsMike Banks - 27+1M ptsCharlie Deards - 27ptsPhil Stanley - 15ptsEllis Stokes - 14ptsDale Barker - 12pts+1MNigel Abdulha - 12pts+1MMichael Helm - 1MptMike Bishop - 1MptDarren Armitage still to scoreNext event is the AMSC Regularity Rally on the 28th May. sparky_spit
Last Sunday's EAMC Regularity Rally was run in excellent weather, with a nice easy pace and even a halfway stop for coffee. Quite a bit different to what happens on night time 12 Car events...Of the CT crews, Steve Radley and Colin Wake were 10th O/A, 1st CT, on 360s, with Mike Banks and Mark Rutter coming in 11th O/A (last in fact) and 2nd CT with 367s. The winning crew had just 57s penalty.Steve and Colin actually had a very good run, but made one critical error in navigation on one of the intermediate speed change sections and picked up 300 penalties as a result of this one error. You can see that, had they not done this their score would have been 60s putting them in 2nd place overall. Bad luck indeed.Current standings in the series are:Mark Rutter and Colin Wake both on - 57ptsMike Banks - 42+1M ptsCharlie Deards - 27ptsPhil Stanley - 15ptsEllis Stokes - 14ptsDale Barker - 12pts+1MNigel Abdulha - 12pts+1MMichael Helm - 1MptMike Bishop - 1MptDarren Armitage still to scoreThe next event is this Sunday's Bedford Car Club's Summer Treasure Hunt. I know that at least 2 CT crews are competing.
sparky_spit
Bedford Car Club's Summer Treasure Hunt ran on 4th June with one CT entrant, Dale Barker and crew. They were 5th overall and gained 12 points for the mini-series.The Warks Scatter was cancelled, as reported elsewhere, and there was no event for August anyway, so the next results are for the CT Three Counties Rally that ran on the 24th September. These are listed elsewhere, and there will no doubt be a report in the next magazine, so I won't add them here. However, the results have been added into the mini-series table and makes the tally as below:Colin Wake - 73ptsMark Rutter - 72ptsMike Banks - 57+1M ptsCharlie Deards - 40ptsPhil Stanley and Ellis Stokes both on 27ptsDale Barker - 24pts+2MNigel Abdulha - 12pts+2MMichael Helm - 14+1MptMike Bishop - 1MptDarren Armitage still to scoreThe next event is the CT Essex Winter Rally on the 19th November. Entries are open and are filing up, so be quick if you intend entering.
sparky_spit
Two CT crews were out last night on the CMC Halloween 12 Car Rally, and both did well:Steve Radley/Colin Wake - 1st overall and 1st CT - 1F and 25minsMike Banks/Mark Rutter - 2nd overall and 2nd CT - 2F 8 mins. There was smaller than usual entry list, but CT did themselves proud. It was interesting to note, as someone said last night, that all the modern cars were beaten by a couple of 50 year old cars. In fact the combined age of the 2 crews and their cars is probably somewhere near 300 years old! Blimey.Anyway, the current mini-series looks like this:Colin Wake - 89ptsMark Rutter - 87ptsMike Banks - 72+1M ptsCharlie Deards - 40ptsPhil Stanley and Ellis Stokes both on 27ptsDale Barker - 24pts+2MNigel Abdulha - 12pts+2MMichael Helm - 14+1MptMike Bishop - 1MptDarren Armitage still to scoreThe next event is the CT Essex Winter Rally on the 19th November, but the entry is full at present, although reserves are being accepted. After that, the following event is the Bedford Car Club's Santa Special 12 Car in December.
