Spitfire2500
Although we're not in the event yet (no 6 on the reserve list) I'd also be interested in good places to stay.If we get in we'd travel down from Scotland the day before so we'd be looking for somewhere to stay both before and after the run. Deleted User
Bill,Let me know what you're doing as far as accomodation is concerned after the event. Not quite sure what we're doing on the way down but it may involve beer, bed and breakfast.McJim. GT6 John
Most of us stayed at the Travel Lodge place just up the road from the pub in 2006.Perfectly good place and comfortable and a good price. Quite frankly after 48 hours of driving and very fitful sleep a concrete slab would seem comfortable as long as it's horizontal! :P
Tim Bancroft
Blimey these Scots are a bit lightweight, come on nowt wrong with driving back to Scotland immediately the event ends!I'll do some research!

Tim Bancroft
Well I have just looked at the Travelodge site, they have a hotel on the A10 at Cheshunt where you could all stay.0871 984 8484 to book. Did'nt check prices!Very near, actually go past the hotel on the Friday night just after one crosses the M25. Not a particulary attractive looking building, well might be if you like squares(?), however as John states all you will require is a bed!

GT6 John
If it's like 2006 it'll go something like this...I'll just lie on the bed for a moment before putting on my night clothes and switching off the light... Zzzzzzzzzzz...wake up at 9am fully clothed, on top of the bed linen and all lights on!
