thescrapman
Sitting in the pub at the local TSSC meet last week, looked up, a little white face and a label saying 'Ich Cummin' was spotted. All the memories came flooding back.Next meet I'll ask the barman where he got it from.Colin

GTRoger
Yeah, 10CR was great, for sure the best event of 2005. Everytime I have a flashback when we drive up to the Nurburgring. I remember the fantastic drive we had from the Ring to Luxembourg on sunday. So close to home and still so many miles to go :-) Also looking forward to 2006. Seems that there are some events for the continentals in it as well. Nurburgringweekend sounds like fun, and obviously our own nightrally in La Ollanda! Which will find place on the first weekend of November! (normally it does) RBRR has to be done for sure, tempting on doing the Carrera as well... Raider
Quote:Blimey what the hell are we going to do in August and SeptWell, there will be BCC Autotests for one thingThen there's the Devil's Own rally up our way - a Nescro event which is either a 1 day road rally, a 2 day road rally or a 2 day including overnight rally!Might have a problem with the TR7 tho as it may just be a bit too conspicuous in it's new colour scheme
JohnD
Noticed "July - 'Ring" in the calendar. The German Triumph Club has invited the TSSC and TRR Race Championship to a 'Ring Race (that's RACE to all LotR fans) on either the 15th or 22nd of July (Final date TBA). Is your intended date one of these? The second of these dates will clash with the MG Silverstone International Extravaganza whwich inlcudes Triumph races, so we are hoping for the first. AND of course, that's one weekend after the Classic Le Mans! So could be a lot of Triumphs in France/Germany in mid-July.The 'Ring event is a race, but there will be the usual use of the 'Ring on the Thursday/Friday before. I believe the Dutch will be there - care to make it an All-Triumph-Clubs event?John
Tim Bancroft
The CT trip to The 'Ring' will be during a mid-week in July.Still arranging the dates.
don cook1
10CR Day Speechfrom Henry V by William Shakespeare This weekend is called the 10CR Weekend:He that outlives this weekend, and comes safe home,Will stand a tip-toe when the weekend is named,And rouse him at the name of 10CR.He that shall live this weekend, and see old age,Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,And say 'In September is 10CR weekend:'Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars. And say 'These wounds I had on the 10CR Weekend.'Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot,But he'll remember with advantagesWhat feats he did that weekend: then shall our names.Familiar in his mouth as household wordsRaider the king, Bancroft and Martin, Carruthers, Gingell, Foreman, Tornado, Chinn, Hoogmans and Tomboy,Be in their flowing cups freshly remember'd.This story shall the good man teach his son;And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,From this day to the ending of the world,But we in it shall be remember'd;We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he, on that weekend that sheds his blood with meShall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,That weekend shall gentle his condition:And gentlemen in England now a-bedShall think themselves accursed they were not here,And hold their manhoods cheap while any speaksThat drove with us upon the 10CR weekend!

Charlie
It was only yesterday that i was talking to my co-driver in the pub, and we were going through the events, and all the highs and lows, and preparing already for the 2007 run.Quote:The overnight drive thru France is imprinted on my brain as is the Stelvio and then another overnighter when we didn't see another 10CR car for hoursI think we saw you catching 40 winks in a service station car park, somewhere in Germany on the saturday night as we pulled over to do the same. James
Are you up for the RBRR this year Charlie? It's certainly an antidote for long distance Triumph driving blues...
Charlie
Think i'm going to pass on the RBRR, my co-driver is definately not up for it, and i think i've got a course that runs either side of that weekend so will need the weekend for home work, and to think i thought that would end once i started a proper job. But roll on 10CR 2007, whatever form it's going to be in.Charlie
