The 2.6 has not actually done one as it is a 3.63 (strongest CWP) and a Quaife even survives mad donuts and general hooligan antics. Done in a few 3.27's quite a few 3.63's and 3.89's. So I have done my testing. I could break an anvil. Power ? Don't know but quite a bit. But never rolling roaded. 0-60 4.7 (Performance meter and ecu log). At 140 (easy) she is still pulling like a train and busting for another cog @ 5800 rpm (shift light lit) 24 mph per 1000 rpm, oversize OD and oversize tyres. Some years back at work I was doing my morning ritual donuts in the back yard. ( gave up that work thing because I decided I did not like it ) My boss magically appeared out of the dense tyre smoke cloud and shouted Laurence would you kindly refrain from doing that ? I think that is what he said 😎 Laurence

You slip the diff in at an angle. Side away from the crown first, with outer cage and shims positioned against the rollers the crown wheel side you use outer cage and shims as a ramp. It can be done real easy once you get the technique. Done this many many times. Try to fit the unit in straight you will need the Churchill. Laurence

My EFI car runs a 2600 with a pretty wild "sprint" cam, comes on at 4 runs to 7. The box is 2500 S with competition 28% J type OD. Diff nor saloon box have ever given issues. Having said that diff is 3.63 with Quaife. I gave up on stock components many years ago. 3.27 diffs IN PARTICULAR ! Driven without mercy. Laurence

I was actually contemplating making up battery / earth leads using proper crimp battery terminals, proper braid earth, all crimped lugs using superior 25mm welding cable for Triumphs. I have the hex crimper and can get the stuff easy. Also can be made specific spec to order. Is there a market ? Laurence

Instead of Demon thieves try ringing JJC race and rally. Which is Demon Thieves under another name but no shop ( from same stock ). From experience can be negotiated with on prices. Laurence

Actually thinking about it I have the feeling I only used one relay on it wired to self latch. Long time ago I did it. Laurence
-
Indeed Roger I had two warning lamps one (ready to drop out) the other (stay in on change) I did intend to wire in a clutch pedal switch to it as well but I never got round to that. Darren I used the two relays wired to self latch the OD switches provided the switching as they disconnect on change through neutral (Saloon box) Laurence

I made one for my old Sixfire. done with two relays. Laurence

It was Bob Rowland who was getting them made. At least it was him selling those anyway. Can be looked up by name on Facebook. Laurence
