WIMPUS
And.. late night dolly sprint fixing. Hard to start when I left Fox at a friend. Had a idle and could notice it running lean. But i was nearly home.. Once home had a look.. Easy fix ! Can you spot it ? Breather pipe of 45 years old came loose. Will keep a close eye on it.. or time for a hose clamp. Will have a look from what ball joint of a beetle it would fit. I just bought all the 3 sizes they had for a regular beetle 😅 Thanks Wim

WIMPUS
But.. i got an annoying one. Black spots in the paint. And its in the can of paint itself.. So contacted the company that sold it to me now. Black spots in the paint (first layer): In the filter before paint goes into the gun.. Mixing cup..(look on the side/top of pic) 🙄😔
MarkB
That's a nightmare! Fortunately on your first coat. Pain, as its going to hold you up. I resprayed a Vitesse bonnet in a gazebo, decent weather, left it in there over night to dry, no rain forecast. Checked on it in the morning, bright sunny day, as the sun warmed up the gazeebo, condinsation built up inside and dripped all over the cellulose paint finish ruining it. You should be fine if your using 2K.

Have me a discount because of it to.

WIMPUS
Yesterday a friend came by to help me out a bit. Softtop and rear bumper back on. And side windows back into the doors. Now.. they need the glass seals and adjustment.. Doorhandles and trim still not in primer 😅
WIMPUS
Time to paint the rear trim and outer door handles satin black. But first primer .. This evening a quick sand and paint. Door glass adjustment on the right side is pretty good. Left side has been always iffy. Checked clearance between windscreen frame to body. Both the same. Maybe glass sits higher in the track? Will have to measure that this evening. Saturday the Dolly Sprint is going back to his owner 😞 Did drive it around 1500kms in the past week.
