Is anyone interested in a R160 diff conversion kit consisting of the mounting plates and machined rear diff housing?

I have some guys state side who are asking for such a kit, and am repricing a small batch this week.

Any idea of costs, even an extreme  approximate ?

Total conversion costs likely to be similar to fitting a Quaife centre to a Triumph diff, which is likely to be around the £ 700 - 800 mark. I'm excluding any fooling around with driveshafts, which could nearly double it depending what your starting point is.  If you are talented, with access to the correct kit or have useful friends, then this could drop alot.

Not sure that the R160 is significantly stronger than a properly built, Quaife-equipped Triumph one.
Having something that LOOKS standard could become an advantage in the future too.

Given the effort involved to get the R160 in there I'm not wholly convinced, especially given that the longest ratio is 3.54:1, which is not enough for a 2.5 or V8 engined car IMO.  Similar effort spent on engineering a conversion for the BMW diff range might prove more useful in the end.

Big question is the price and I know that may be dependant on quantity!

BMW E36 diffs can fit  and go down to 2.93:1. Spring may be a problem though.
