I am thinking about this but ...........

I will have been to a Rover event a couple of weeks before

It looks like the head gasket has gone on my 2000 plus the wheel arch repair panel I have on order for it hasn't arrived so there's very little chance of the car being roadworthy anytime soon.

There's no diff in the 2000 as it is away for reconditioning

The TR7 convertible needs taxing and putting on the road

I will be attending the North Yorkshire Triumph Weekend 3rd weekend in May.

First weekend in June I have entered the Ecosse Challenge.

Not many demands on my time and money then

Same Russell...

I have filled in an entry form for the Vitesse... out of MOT since this time in 2014... Not much to do directly after HCR.

If the Vitesse isn't done, I'll enter the 2000. If that isn't well after HCr (should be, but just in case) I'll come in the 540i.

A few friends are interested, so might be a few Escorts etc. (The cars, not women).

I don`t think there`s any reason I will not be there....
....and it will be my birthday

So should be there

With cake I assume. We all like cake nom nom nom

And yes. Gill and me will be there. Booked a hotel in bicester for the Saturday night already will sort the entry forms this weekend.

As it's my local patch I can recommend places around the area. Excellent pub just down the road called The Antelope. The Texas Beef Chilli (may not be on the menu any more, but was a while ago) was fantastic. Small pub, but decent enough range of beers etc. Could be a good watering hole for after the event??

As long as there is cake, I don't mind who brings it along!
JJ, do you know Bicester well? We are booked into the brand new Travelodge in the centre may go to the flicks and have a spot of dinner, any recommendations? Don't want to drive after dinner as i may partake of a bevvy...

Surely this is the chance for anyone North of Coventry to come along and play enter
For me ,only just over an hour away......so lots of opportunity for anyone up North

That was the thinking when I kicked off the Warwickshire rallies too. To an extent, it worked. Still a large number of London / Essex teams though (somewhat inevitable I think)

  • 2 weeks later...

Come on guys, we need a few more entries than we currently have to make this event viable. If we don't get a few more pretty soon then we may have to cancel it which would be a great shame considering the trouble we've had finding a suitable venue and sweet talking people to get it organised. If you have an interest in this form of motor sport please support it.

I am quite interested but.....

From para. 13
"Transmission must be of original manufacture, internal parts may be changed, e.g ratios and differential type: All types of LSD are eligible."

Does this exclude cars with Toyota gearboxes, Ford gearboxes, Subaru diffs, hybrid driveshafts etc?  Seems like it does, though it would appear to be a slightly irrational thing to do when things like LSDs and engiine mods are permitted without any attempt to separate cars into standard and modified.  One suspects that an LSD might be a larger advantage than a non-standard gearbox......

Assuming that such cars (particularly those with Toyota gearboxes) are not excluded, can cars be double driven?

Nick - in the absence of an "official" answer I think it's safe to say cars can be double (and even triple) driven - if they are up to it The emphasis is on getting as many out on the track as possible so any slight rules issues can and will be dealt with pragmatically - it is after all our event so if we want to vary something I'm sure we can!
