IVANHOE Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Do both driver and co-driver have to be paid up members of CT to enter the the RBRR? --- Andy ---
Tim Bancroft Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 No, just the principal entrant.Remember that the rules and regs, entry form etc will be in the next edition of Club Torque. They will not be posted onto this website before we are sure the mag. has been received by the members of the Club.
IVANHOE Posted October 25, 2009 Author Posted October 25, 2009 Thanks Tim, I have just noticed mention of an entry fee, how much is the fee?
Raider Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Andy,To give you an idea at the top of the page under the banner advert there is "Events" - when you highlight this you can select RBRR.Within that section there's loads of info from the last RBRR ;)

Tim Bancroft Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 £65 per entrant-min entry therefore £130.00.
Deleted User Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 On the subject, is there a maximum number of cars next year? and when is the next issue of Club Torque out? Remember the postal strike(s) may effect the delivery of the mag or even the delevery of the entry forms!
Deleted User Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 To quote from a recent email from Tim BancroftQuote:Date of the RBRR is Friday 01/10/10 to Sunday 03/10/10. As you took part last time you may be thinking of taking part again in 2010. Entry opens with the publication of the Novemeber issue of Club Triumph's bi-monthly magazine 'Club Torque', which is due on approximately the 15th November. From talking to CT members, reading the Club's active forum and thinking back to last time, it looks like the places will be taken up very quickly. The purpose of this e-mail is to warn everyone about this to ensure all that wish to take part will get a place. 100no. entry places will be available, 10 of these will be reserved for foreign crews who will not get their mag. as quickly as the Brits. We were thinking about opening the entry in January 2010, however thinking about Xmas and also the clash with the opening of entry for the Club's Historic Counties Run, we decided to stick with the traditional November opening.
Deleted User Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 It will be a race to the post, Team Insulated shorts will put their application in First class and cross their fingers.
Tim Bancroft Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Thanks, Kevin.I sent that e-mail out yesterday to all of the 2008 entrants (Principal Entrant only), irrespective of finishing or not.Apols about the price rise, few increased costs to deal with-only a fiver per entrant-not bad considering the entry cost has been the same for at least the last 2 RBRRs.
Clive Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Price rise fine (as long as we actually get some breakfast at lands end ;D)
Clive Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 looks like its the kitkats again then......................must remember not to leave them anywhere warm this time :B
ferny Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 At least we get warning that there won't be any this time!Clive, you bring the burners and I'll bring the bacon and rolls. ;D

Deleted User Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 I think what Tim is saying is that the full english will be somwhere else not lands end.

Have cooker will travel. Only managed to knock up 4 bacon rolls yesterday, and refill flasks. Yep, not even a fresh cuppa. Still, a very busy day (the toledo beat ALL the 4 of the competing MG's ;D)

Goody Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 If I read Tim's EMail and understood it, due to last years problem we will have a full meal somewhere else. If not Cliffy, I will stay close to you as you know what I like for Brakefast! The extra few pounds is for a better flor show next time. Maby the two chubby's will have food Atlas?
Clive Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 I know that Tim is bound to have something special up his sleeve. A nice bacon sandwich is always welcome. Ideally several of them, plenty of ketchup and a nice cuppa. Perrrrfect. :)Must say the cakes at pimperene were an absolute delight :) so maybe missing breakfast was a blessing in disguise
Deleted User Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 Tim had said that he's close to arranging somewhere for breakfast.Only hope that it's not too far from Land's End.I was ravenous and could have ate a scabby horse by the time we got in the food queue.I think I had a runny egg, chips and the scabby horse last time! :)Jim.
Tim Bancroft Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 An alternative is more or less finalised-will be better than LE-cannot fail can it!!We will still have to visit LE- as it is obviously an important part of the task!!
Lord Sorbington Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 Lol, looks as if selling breakfasts from a caravan on the RBRR would be a real money spinner!
Tim Bancroft Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 Sounds like a plan!Well volunteered, m'Lord!
