Don,You're not a racing driver by any chance with all these excuses! You could have pulled over to the edge beside that 500 foot drop to oblivion! Jim. Tim Bancroft
Still a ghost town though!Amazing place. Shame about the Stelvio is the amount of cycles one encounters, don't people realise that roads are for cars!! Suppose its a case of choosing your time to make the ascent? Raider
It was really good in 2005 - late afternoon going into dusk on a Saturday in Septemberhttp://s59.photobucket.com/albums/g315/RaiderTR7/?action=view¤t=Stelvio10CR2005.flv
Deleted User
The road up from Bormio, the western ascent, has been open for quite a few days already. However, the eastern side with most of the hairpins remains shut. Can't be long till it reopens now. GTRoger
Nope 🤔Just back from a week in the Italian Alps and was hoping to to do Stelvio. Although temperatures reached 35 degrees the pass refused to open. Luckily we did find some other interesting roads, some of them I've never been before. Top entertainment!
