Beans
With the current weather I think it will close down for the winter pretty soon.

Deleted User
Mind you, the pass being closed didn't seem to bother this intrepid TVR owner.A brave man.Well it will be a man - no woman would have a TVR like that. And more importantly, no woman would be daft enough to bring all that horsepower on tap up the Stelvio on a snowy day in the Alps. Deleted User
You can see the occupants of the TVR inspecting the closed gates and pile of snow blocking their way down the other side of the pass.I do believe, if you look closely enough, that they're both holding shovels!Jim. Deleted User
From the same guy (Ben Joyce) who gave us the Bilbao to Monaco roadtrip a while back in the the yellow Caterham 7.Here he is on the Stelvio going up the south side.http://www.youtube.com/user/benjy1976?ob=5#p/a/u/1/3YAEnc5uQXMAnd going down the north side.http://www.youtube.com/user/benjy1976?ob=5#p/a/u/0/_6X2SVZ4xycNot bad for a non Triumph. Deleted User
Jim, I guess with you being the key contributor to this thread you are seriously longing to do the Stelvio again?I must say out of all the passes it was not my favourite, it was blood good though. Will you be coming on the 2013 10CR? Deleted User
Not sure at the moment.Been a bit ill this year which has curtailed motoring outings - the GT6 has sat in the garage all summer!See how things are next year and then maybe's aye, maybe's naw.And yes, I love the Stelvio!Went there with Mr Bancroft on the 2007 10CR and long to go back there.I check the webcam most days just to take me away from the daily drudgery and dream my way to the top of the Stelvio. One day, one day.Jim. Beans
Went up there for the first time in 2002 with 't Kreng.Really cherish that memory as it is much to crowded nowadays. Was an absolutely brilliant drive with no other traffic worth mentioning.
