  1. Maybe, I can't remember 100%, and I am a bit more than 50 miles, but not much more. I had a bag of bushes come with a car, but can't remember exactly what was in the bag. Cheeers Colin
  2. Ultra low emission Californian engine?? Air injectors on the head by the looks of it? Perhaps? Cheers Colin
  3. Andy We downloaded supermarket POI's for a sat nav a few years ago. That helped. But you have to do teh sums and work out how much fuel you use dropping off route and returning to it against the increased cost on route. Cheers Colin
  4. TR5 is 35/65 with 1/4 inch lift Spit Mk3 is the same I thought. Or is it 25/65?? Anyway, If canleys can't do you such a cam, then Newman cams will be able to. Cheers Colin
  5. Is that not a Mk3 spitfire cam? Cheers Colin

The fuel ecconomy is so poor he has retired it temporarily. They don't generate enough vacuum I think. Now if you are going for EFI, then yes, as you can program it to allow for the fuelling. Also a TH7 may give you a rev-band above the sane levels for a 2.5. Cheers Colin

  10. Those cap head bolts are really annoying, they seem to round off very easily, even with a decent allen key. Cheers Colin
  11. Tim Those figures are not linear, suspect a tacho inaccuracy. :-)
  12. John I could be that the pivit has dropped out, have a poke down the hole. Cheers Colin

Apart from this. ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foDcLUhUKqI and maybe this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCtJVbJEHZg Bradley. They commented that you could still hear the guy in the M5 after he went round teh corner. If I stand in my garden I can still hear a Triumph Straight 6 as it pulls out the junction 1/2 a mile away as it echos across the fields. But the Subaru was louder.
  15. I thought a Marina single rail box had different ratios to both Spitfore and GT6, being a halfway house. Cheers Colin
  16. Gordon, the centre bush is definatley the same as a type 3 subframe bush for a Mk1 2000. as we used 1300 ones on a 2000 when desperate before the RBRR. I have a TCA with no bush fitted, is that any assistance if I measure it? Cheers Colin
  17. It sounds just like air is remaining trapped somewhere. When faced with this in the past I made up a filler cap with a tyre valve in the middle, then used an assistant to very slightly pressurise the master with a foot pump or bike pump and gently force bleed it. Same principle as an eazi-bleed but for tight-wads. I would also remove the pads and allow the pistons to move in a bit, then return the pistons with the bleed nipple open but the pedal down a bit to ensure all the excess fluid went out the bleed nipple. On the rears I would do similar and allow the piston out slightly (very easy to pop it out so be careful!) Cheers Colin

  19. Are you saying that it you pump very quickly on the brakes, you get a hard pedal, but then a press shortly after goes to teh floor? Cheers Colin
  20. Wim Your rear wheels look jacked under, that won't be helping check ground clearance. You should be able to either bolt the flange sticking out the top of teh exhaust box straight through the rear valance with rubber washers either side, or use a very slim bobbin mount though it will be in shear. That is how I have mine. Cheers Colin
  21. Mr Bikered 185/60-13 may be a better proposition. As per Davemates picyure above. Cheers Colin
  22. I'm sure I have a pile of Herald and Vitesse valneces somewhere. I guess you want Vitesse. Cheers Colin

  24. MikeyB wrote:How do you get on with the ratios Mark - I have one of these conversion shafts and was seriously considering putting a GT6 box in the rally herald. I worried about 1st being too tall though. Stick with a 4.11 diff and it should be OK, though with a bit of luck yours will rev to 7500, so you may be able to drop to a 4.5 diff. 40mph in first should be about right for autosolos. Cheers Colin
