The juddering! was your left foot on the clutch pedal shaking with nerves for the up coming driving test! And now you have passed, it's shaking with excitement! ;D ;D I would say its your clutch plate, wearing down, or slight oil seepage, my van does the same, and not all the time. I am living with it until it starts to slip then I will change it! (may as well get my money's worth out of it) :P But as said, it is a good idea to check all the mounts, then you can replace them at the same time as changing the clutch, and then check the propshaft U.J's while it's off, then check the............

As Wim says they help with the noise when you shut the door! And some road noises. Imagine flicking the edge of a bell, it will ding! Then hold the side, and do it again, it will just click as you flick it, but no ding! That's what the pads do.

Have you tried having someone stamping on the brakes? Ideal solution is a windy gun! Or a socket and tommy bar, rotate the hub so that the bar rests on the floor holding onto a nut! This will then lock the hub while you undo the others, then you will have to use something to hold it while you do the last one. Or try wedging something into the caliper/drum to stop the hub rotating and then use a tommy bar/wheel brace to undo them, if you try to undo them so you are pushing down, (the left side wheels, have the bar pointing forward, the right side the bar pointing to the rear) then you won't lift the car! And if tight you can stand on it to help, but be careful you don't slip and shin yourshelf. Good luck

I used that paint on my truck (ampibious) and can recommend it! But only mix small amounts, so that you don't waste it.
