Rear Quarter Trim Panels

Hi Everyone,

I finshed glueing on the B pillar vinyl supplied by Park Lane Classics last night and then loosely fitted the quarter trim panel on top.

Can anyone please tell me what to do with the bit ive circled in green?

Do you screw it to the bracket , or screw it through the cockpit trim board and sort of clamp it in place?

Any advice much appreciated as always.

I think - think - it clips on with metal clips to the brace edge, but it's a while since I had a Spit so not 100% on it.

That would explain why clips are listed on Rimmers  :-/

Would be great if someone could post a picture or confirm.

They are listed in the parts manual but not on the drawings

i've got a screw true the back panel and true that area you marked  :)

I also got the park lane panels !  ;)

I hope this helps, mine was screwed in as shown plus it's a MK4 so I'm not sure if any different to your MK3.

Should be a push on clip with tangs

Can't remember - but on the mk 3, the rear trim board is fixed with some small clips at the top and 2x2 screws just where you want yours?

This. My '73 came that way from the factory, back when. 2 clips / side.

Then the top screw of the rear panel goes through it also as in the photo.
