TimW Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Anyone looked at the weather forecast yet??http://metcheck.com/UK/7days_icons.aspquite a neat site with 6 hour forecasts.
Baldry1500 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Sunday doesn't look great but looks like the roof may be down for a fair bit of Saturday 8)
Deleted User Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Met Office forecasts are only reasonably accurate for three days in advance. We use them for planning winter gritting operations on the roads and even with three days warning, they can change at very short notice within that time.Wait till Thursday to get a better picture.A bit too early just yet.Jim. (Hoping for a dry, windless night at the Carter Bar control.)

GT6 M Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Theo, pray for a calm night, as if its blowin a gale, and Mr Jim McJim has a kilt on, then it may no be a pretty sight if it blows it up. ;) ;) ;)
Nick Jones Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I thought that challenging weather was part of the natural rules for the RBRR.......? Nick

AlanChatterton Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I am ready for the border crossing and dealing with McJim.After I give him the mandatory "payment" for crossing the border, I will throw a 1p coin in the air........... his eyes will follow it and he'll make a mad lunge for the valuable asset. This is the point that I will make a sharp (well, as sharp as one can in a fucking Honda Acclaim!) exit.Job done. ;)

ferny Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Interactive immersive weather reports? When it rains outside, you get wet inside!Oh, wait, Triumph already did that. :B
uksnatcher Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Heres one of Theo's local Dutch rain storms last 10CR........... :DG'luck to all you 'guys n gals' BTW on the RBRR... the sun is going to be cracking the flags this weekend..(ok)
Deleted User Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Mr Chatterton, a penny is known as a bawbee up here and is highly valued. This is why you will always see a Scotsman with his hand on his bawbees! It keeps them warm if nothing else.By the way, you are now also on the list for a body cavity search and I don't use any lubricant!See you Friday night/Saturday morning. Bring a pillow for sitting on for later.Looks like a balmy 5 degrees and 6mph winds. So no up kilt action will be on display and no dropped bawbees either. Sorry to disappoint all of you who had your hopes up! ;)Jim.
Nick Jones Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Looks like the traditional RBRR weather is being arranged for the South West corner....... that's sideways torrential rain for those who've managed to forget...... Whoopee...... :-/Nick
GT6 M Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 If any of you ladds aint used it, then get a bottle O rain Xafter about 35 mph, the screen clears, and night drive is even better.M
Deleted User Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Weather forecast for Scotland is dry all the way apart from the chance of light showers after breakfast at Thurso around 10:00am.Have a good run folks.Jim.
GrayFox Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 Pleased to say that the heavy rain forecast for Cornwall tomorrow morning is not now expected until the afternoon so cars should arrive at Lands End in the dry this time and we wont get soaked signing them in.
Nick Jones Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 Yeah..... we are hoping that Badgers Holt will remain dry until the cars are through too!Nick
