CRAJ
With this being my first RBRR, I was wondering when we get the stickers for the cars.Is it at the driver's meeting on the 19th?I was hoping to drum up at a bit of extra charity sponsorship at my work by parking the estate right outside the entrance one day, obviously the stickers all over the car would add that finishing touch!Colin. ferny
Aye, the stickers come with your drivers pack.
Tim Bancroft
Not even printed yet-crikey I'd better get my finger out!Yes, Pete is correct, you will get them at the DM.
Nick Jackson (2)
I mentioned this last time. I think it would be a real help to have the stickers much earlier than a few weeks before. A few months before would be more like it but I realise postage costs come into it. If the club bought them earlier could crews that feel they need them earlier pay for the postage? Tim Bancroft
Why is it helpful to have the stickers months before the event? Also I am sorry but I do not have the time to insert and seal 120no sets of stickers and then post them. Also cost does come into it.
Deleted User
Aw, c'mon Tim.What with running the club, organising the RBRR, going to work every day, having a life, you still have plenty of time to pander to every little whim.Sleep is very over-rated anyway. ;)Jim. Tim Bancroft
Sorry if I came on like a moaner, just find that each year we do try to evolve the RBRR, but some of the ideas do not always meet with universal approval. We do review the event after the running of each one and look at what can be improved. I think the major reason for the 'sell out' of spaces so quickly following the announcement is the cheap cost of entering the event (Sorry to state the bleedin' obvious). One thing is for sure, the Organisers: Nigel, Jason, James, Ellis and me love putting this event together. My fave part is going out in November with Nigel and recce'ing some new section of the event. Really good fun if Nige is driving as he is a superb driver and really does drive with precision. I can guarantee that the Welsh section will be an absolute joy this time, one bummer though, it will be raining!Bring on the RBRR!
Radders
I've sold space on my car to my company for sponsorship money! :) I've got to take my car into work Saturday morning as they have their 'Graphics' man coming in to put the company logos and name on! :)
Tim Bancroft
Steve, Leave space on all doors and the rear wings for the event stickers.Have a look at the RBRR photo section of this site to see shape and size of these stickers.
Radders
You sure Tim? All four doors and back wings? The front wings are already committed and for the money my boss is putting in he's going to want to be able to see his logo from the side of the car. At the moment, we are looking at the back doors and bootlid for his logos. (Possibly the bonnet too depending on negotiations!)The will leave the front doors and the rear wings for the club and the charity etc. That should be enough shouldn't it? :-/
Tim Bancroft
Just echoing the placement of stickers that we have always used.

I'm not not going to risk losing the sponsorship so I'll just have to play it by ear I think. ;)Thanks for the input though. :)
Goody
Radders: Go to the run's blog, scroll down to the pic of my car. (DollyRoo) I add my team name and some flags. I think the run stickers are where their suposed to be. This will give you a idea of how much room you can work with. Look at the album's of past runs and you will see how others put their team and sponsor stickers on.
ferny
Should give you an idea of size and placement. They're where Tim asks them to be put.Ahhh.... remember that time when I had less rust and used to wash the car now and then... about two years ago I think. ;)

(Excuse the pun!) :)As it stands I've sold the boss the space on the back doors, boot & bonnet! ;)

Radders
Well it can't be helped now, the deal for the sponsorship money has been done. (which is surely the objective?)They'll still be lots of the room on the for the remainder. :)
Jimmmy0_0
You are all talking about sticker place and I still have to find metal first. Only the rh sills to fit, the rh front wing and both rear wings to repair. O and Mot, tax and paint James
cook1e
Well at least you have the Mk1 GT6 and Spitfire as a back up....
Tim Bancroft
Sorry if I have been a bit weird about the placement of the stickers, those places are the trad ones and also it looks good if the cars have a similar appearance on the sticker front. Is this the start of some OCD ailment? thescrapman
SteveYou need to get a better seal on your fuel cap.Try a radiator cap with a decent rubber seal.I have a cloth stuffed in there to catch the leaks, stops them going onto the rear tyre....CheersColin
