Thicker wooden steering wheels

Hello all,

My daily commuter is a bmw 3 series, which comes with a rather chunky steering wheel.

On my GT6 I currently have a wooden motolita which is really rather skinny in comparison.

Switching between the two is quite strange, particularly when the GT6 needs a little more 'leverage' than the bm. So i wondered if someone can point me in the direction of a brand(s) of wheel manufacturer who can offer a slightly thicker wooden wheel?

Chunkier than the MotoLita wheels, without being fugly like the Mountneys.

Expensive new, but used on some MX5s so shouldn't be crippling secondhand, except for the boss I suppose,

I have a fairly chunky wooden Mountney one, which I don't like, on my TR6. I'll gladly swap it for a leather one :-)

I'm going against the grain here  :D but what's the attraction of wooden wheels?

Each to their own of course  but I've never seen one I think suits a Triumph - sorry just don't geddit  :)

I found mine very jarring, it transmitted a lot of road noise to my hands. I prefer the leather ones, like Doug P.

me too,the wooden one gave my hands cramp on long trips,leather is much more comfy.
plus less prone to slip when sweating or wet.

I have an old brown Suede jacket, could cut it up and wrap it around the wheel  ;)
