Ben Hutchings Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 I run the club’s Instagram account, and I/it has been quiet of late. I’d like to start periodically featuring Members’ cars, maybe with a little bit of a member and/or car bio. If you have a good photo or two of one of your cars (or a group!), please send them. You can either DM me here, reply to this post, or email me on ben.hutchings@clubtriumph.co.uk To get an idea what sort of content we’re after, take a look at the Instagram account here: http://instagram.com/club.triumph Quote
Ben Hutchings Posted May 2, 2021 Author Posted May 2, 2021 Hoping to ‘Bump’ this a bit. @Tim Bancroft can we get a nice shot of TARJ? Always loved it. Quote

Bought in July 2015 as a pretty standard 2000 automatic it acquired a manual gearbox at the end of 2017 after the 10CR and now has a 2500cc lump after 2018's failed RBRR. Hoping for a better showing this year. Included are a couple of photos from a run we did last October along the South Coast (Steve Radley, Dave Harvey, Dave Maton and me) 1 1 Quote
Tim Bancroft Posted May 3, 2021 Posted May 3, 2021 Ben, Here is my car, now owned for 37.5 years and still going strong, its a keeper! 1 Quote
Tim Hunt Posted May 3, 2021 Posted May 3, 2021 OK Ben. TR4A driven by me for 50 years and 7 months to date (though not much over the past year of course!). I think I can safely say this one is a keeper too, brings a smile to my face each time I take it out and very little grief in five decades. Twenty completed RBRRs so far together with eight 10CRs, two C2Cs, several HCRs some Autoecosses and La Carerra Caledonias and TR Register events also. Incidentally the stain on the road in the Col de la Bonette picture is not vital fluid from NGP 86D! Tim 2 Quote
Fixer6 Posted May 3, 2021 Posted May 3, 2021 20 years so far and 77,000 miles, beginner really. 1 Quote
RobPearce Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 30 years, five Round Britains (in this - 8 in other cars) and a few 12-cars and scatters: This was "Drive It Day" last year - a shopping trip 🙂 Quote
Baldry1500 Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Two of my favourite, Taken on the 2019 10CR. I've had the privilege of driving this car since 1997 when I first passed my driving test, taking full custody in 2008 as my mum needed a hip replacement and could no longer get into it. Little did I know the adventures around the UK and Europe it and I would share in the years since then, and long may those adventures continue. 2 Quote
Ben Hutchings Posted May 4, 2021 Author Posted May 4, 2021 Great stuff @richard w @Tim Bancroft @Tim Hunt @Fixer6 @RobPearce @Baldry1500 - I'll post them over the next few weeks. The Instagram account has *checks* 1079 followers right now, and grows by a handful each time we post something, so I think it's a good advert for the club. Thanks for your support. Quote
Howard Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 A few more for the CT Instagram account: The day after the 2010 RBRR and we are at the Shuttleworth Collection parked in front of the Westland Lysander from the SOE flight that carried agents into occupied Europe during WWII. Two underrated British classics together: Here we are at the top of the Stelvio pass almost alone having raced the setting sun to the top. My co-driver warped the brake discs on the way down, but it was worth it.... This wasn't a CT event but something older and more famous. The Dunlop curves at LeMans 3 1 Quote
