Raider
The lid on my mk2 2000's glove box is jammed shut. Before I start prizing away at it I just want to check about how it is locked. When unlocked is the key north south or east west. Should the button be pressed in?

Ridgetone Triumph
I have had one jammed before (well a few actually), there a pain in the butt, but easily sorted if the lock is unlocked. Press the button in super hard and with your other hand (providing you have some type of long thin fingers) pull the door open. It is the tongue on the lock that doesn't push down enough to clear the catch. Then once open you can adjust it with 4lb hammer cold chisel 🙂
Raider
Thanks guys.It needed to be east west. Also I sprayed WD40 in the key hole earlier. That freed the button off and I was able to push it in - hey presto glove box lid open 🙂
