No idea if they are any good...

I have heard a lot are booked up on the comparison sites, but often direct contact is successful as they keep some rooms back. 

Other people will hopefully post where they are staying too. 

Please note I had zero to do with any bookings. That is always left to others, for good reason.

charleville : Ibis

Budernz: Einhorn, can imagine they dont know what is happening to them...

Lienz: Moos-Alm, however with the confirmation mail came a how to reach the property and it seems that it is a good 2 km off the main road, up a mountain track... Not sure if that's a good idea with the spit.

Augsburg: Hotel Gasthaus Wangerhof, somehow to the side and near the university.

I have tried to put myself into Ellis shoes and see where we could manage a parking space big enough for a restart. Charleville: near to the supermarkets, Budernz Not much choice really all was already booked. Lienz: here I went wrong, thought of the ski arena would be a good possibility, but it would seem that the hotel is near the top station of the lift, not the base.... Augsburg: University... The bets are one to see where we will restart.

I've chickened out of the Augsburg Low Emission Zone lottery and cancelled our Ibis Budget booking and re-booked the Sonnenhof in Gersthofen. It's three times the price but hopefully three times more relaxing. I've read and re-read all of the conflicting info on various websites about permits/historic exemption/permit policing/historic criteria/etc., and it made my brain hurt.

That's great Theo, pity not same hotel. Plan was to be on the right side of Lienz for the Heiligenblut start. Maybe we can travel there together on the Friday morning. As the start is scheduled for 09.00 we will have time for a leisurely breakfast.
