Deleted User
Current forecast is heavy rain from the start all the way north to John O'Groats. So, no change there then. :(From the Met Office:UK Outlook for Friday 1 Oct 2010 to Sunday 10 Oct 2010:The unsettled outlook looks set to continue, with outbreaks of rain that may be heavy and prolonged at times, although with this there should be periods of brighter but showery weather. Strong winds are likely, particularly towards the northwest of the UK, with gales and perhaps even severe gales in exposed coastal and upland areas during the weekend. Into the new week, it should remain unsettled and autumnal with bands of rain separated by sunny spells and scattered showers. Further windy conditions are also likely, with the exposed western coasts of England and Wales joining Scotland in potentially seeing gales at times. Temperatures for the whole period should be near normal by day, with relatively mild conditions overnight leading to a lower risk of frost.Updated: 1150 on Sun 26 Sep 2010Jim. thescrapman
With a bit of luck if it is pissing down everywhere else it will be dry in Glencoe, and we will see it for the first time.(we missed that bit last year assuming it would be wet, only to find it was sunny for the first time ever)CheersColin

GT6boy
Sat at work listening to the soundtrack from The last of The Mohicans and reading this thread. That music always puts me in mind of Glencoe and Rannoch Moor. Come on Scotland :)! Currently at 11/10 on the giddy-o-meter.... :B

Lord Sorbington
To be honest I prefer driving around Scotland in the rain, adds to the atmosphere and the cosiness of being in your car.Just as well really as rain does seem to be the prevailing weather condition in that part of the world. Wales is even worse in that respect.
