  1. Gloves, its a messy job and lots of rags. I assume you are competent in carrying out this ? I know some who will give it a go and are left with the car in bits. Good luck and take your time. Rob

(Chuffed for you that your Spittie is on the road again-I look forward to seeing her in action-I am not doing the 10CR so maybe next year). No worries on the paint Tim, I painted my MKI Astra steel wheels with it and it lasted 4 years and still looked good when I sold it and I think tins are £9 on ebay. But you are right Powder coating is the preferred method. I am sorry you are not on the 10CR, what a shame mate any reason? looks to be a dandy this year. Rob
  3. I am also with Tim, get the wheels blasted and coated with a decent coater and you should not look back. I however if I had steel wheels would get them blasted and paint them myself with a decent smootherite type paint less money as good a finish. Rob
  4. If it stops that clatter mate it may be worth the faff. Or you could rigg a way the car will turn over and build up oil pressure before it starts?

  6. I have an odd angle shot of the Spitty same body shape as the GT6 mk3 without a front bumper, it looked crap. Not a GT6 but may help. Rob
  7. Well done Mike, that will save you some money on fuel in the 10CR!
  8. I have a new unused tolerance ring if you want it ? I won't be using them anymore. I got my pin with the larger head that stops it from falling through from James paddock in Chester. Rob
  9. Just one thought wow thats steep. Have you tried a few (footman James and Others) ?
  10. Marcus lets see them fitted  :)
  11. Mike my 3.63 has six holes as have every other diff I have fitted to Triumphs. News to me the 4.11 is four holes. Good luck with the change it should save you some fuel on the 10CR!! Rob
  12. Yeah, I'm going to rub cheese all over it and stick some TR7 badges on it. Jim.
  13. At least mine doesn't look like a block of cheese! Lurid green mouldy cheese at that! Jim.

  15. Three Frogeye Sprites on the Stelvio this morning and it's snowing. Only mention this because if they can do it, then I could get my Frogeye up there too. One day, one day. Jim.
  16. A bit more info... The electrical circuit to the overdrive solenoid requires the car to be in 3rd or 4th, so that a switch is closed (to complete a circuit). Being in second AND having overdrive activated suggests the switch that should only activate on the 3rd/4th plane is not deactivating properly.
  17. Easy to replace, but what with? New or old stock new or go for the Canleys replacement, its your shout and down to what you want to spend? I would not buy a second hand unit unless I had inspected it and then I would still not buy it. Rob
  18. yep I strip and inspect mine every 12 months then re oil. Been fine
  19. Good idea Tim. My cunning plan is to hack everybody off about Lambrini so that when I marshal on the next RBRR, I don't go home with a few gallons of girly alcohol. Jim.
  20. Fill it with Lambrini and it'll be all the better for it! Sorry Tim. :B Jim.
  21. Question, did you service the Trunion every year? Would be interesting to know Rob
  22. timbancroft61 wrote:Biggest cost of the RBRR is the catering. Lambrini ain't cheap! ;) Jim.
