AndreGT6
Anyhow have a general idea of how much a used 3.27 diff would cost.A friend has one, I'm considering switching from my 411 to a 3.27.Might lose some of my 0-60 acceleration, but then it will drop me by 500 RPM's for cruising speeds. 60MPH = 3500RPM in 5th gear.I think with the T9 5 Speed, it should still be very zippy at the low end.Thoughts?Thanks.A. James
Don't!It will totally kill your car!The 5 speed and 4.11 should be plenty enough. You obviously haven't got used to a classic yet - they make noise when they rev. That thing should be happy sitting at 4k. Deleted User
i have a 3.27 and cant imagine it with a 5 speed too! if you plan on spirrited driin then nope! it will REALLY kill it off the line............you only really need one if all you do is motorway drivin, ill be switchin to a 3.63 or 3.89 when i swap then engines over so i really wouldnt bother....... Richard B
3.27 only for 2.5 or 3.5 with small wheels.
AndreGT6
Right thanks, 411 it is.Unless I come across a 389,But I will admit, I love the 411 off the line, makes of whole lot of fun.A.
Nick Jones
3.89 probably best compromise for road/track work with 3.63 for purely road with some long haul stuff. I don't think the 6 pot ( even 2L) really likes to sit at 4K plus for long periods although the 1300s don't seem to mind. Surprised you haven't busted the 4.11 yet......... I guess the 3.89 will be easier to find on your side of the water.Nick
