Entries for the CT Essex Winter Rally, on the 6th November 2016, are now open.  This is a 12 Car Navigation Rally open to all members of CT and will have Beginner, Novice and Expert classes.

Start and finish locations are close to Colchester, Essex and the route, which is 62 miles in length, will run through Essex and Suffolk.  This year, a good proportion of the route will be on roads not used before in CT rallies and so should be fresh and interesting for those who have done this event many times before.

The event is suitable for anyone in a Triumph car, with marked-up maps supplied for Beginners, so do give this a try if you have been considering doing one of these events.  Entry is £10 for a crew of two.  Entry Forms and Regulations are available at the bottom of this information page (which it is suggested that you read as well):

First entry in today:

Darren Redshaw/Maddie Redshaw - Spitfire 1500 - Beginner

Jon - yes that's fine, but keep an eye on the entry list as it grows over the coming weeks just in case. We will be strictly limited to 12 entries running, although there will be reserve list.

Are you not confident that your car is going to be in one piece after the RBRR then? 😉

Richard - maybe Matt Roughton will be available and willing to navigate for you if Lynn cannot.  I can PM his details to you if you wish?

Mark - Yes, hopefully Pete will be doing it again this year.

More entries rec'd today, making the list as follows:

Darren Redshaw/Maddie Redshaw - Spitfire 1500 - Beginner
Michael Helm/Colin Wake - Dolomite 2L - Expert
Tony Pulis/Chris Banks - Stag - Novice
Charlie Deards/Ellis Stokes - 2500S Estate - Expert
Jon Fallowell/Alex Joslin - 2000 Mk1 - Novice

The permit has now been issued and required no route changes, which is good news.

Keep the entries coming....

Two more entries today:

Darren Redshaw/Maddie Redshaw - Spitfire 1500 - Beginner
Michael Helm/Colin Wake - Dolomite 2L - Expert
Tony Pulis/Chris Banks - Stag - Novice
Charlie Deards/Ellis Stokes - 2500S Estate - Expert
Jon Fallowell/Alex Joslin - 2000 Mk1 - Novice
Steve Radley/Dave Maton - 2.5PI Mk1 - Novice
Richard Warr/Matthew Roughton - 2000 - Novice

Also, I have 3 promises (I should be so lucky...) of entries yet to come.  That makes 10 so, if you are thinking about entering, don't hang around too long. If you are waiting to see if your car survives the RBRR before entering, remember that you can still withdraw your entry up until Friday 28th Oct and get your entry fee returned.
