  4. mx5 seats are an easy fit to a convertible used the original rear holes and drilling new front holes on the mazda runners only problem with fitting them this way is lack of rearward movement but as i was fitting them for my niece who is only 4,11 was more concerned to make sure they went forward enough cheers andy
  5. rover 600 turbo seats in my mk2 on original triumph runners so easily taken out and swapped if need be, took a fair bit of fiddling with to get lower enough for me to be comfy but very comfy, just like the look of the rover 75 seats and if they fit would swap, Got some escort/orion leather seats to fit the mk1 if they fit when i get round to it cheers andy
  6. it would be nice to find out, would think sitting to high would be the problem,  if you do try let me know how they fit cheers andy

  8. i`m going to be shot down by people, but years ago when i used to make spring we wouldn`t have been bothered to fit them all they  really do is help stop wear on the metal where the leafs touch, but it takes years of rubbing to do this When you look at spring from most cars alot don`t use anything like them cheers andy
  9. i have just changed to a boc account as it worked out cheaper and more convienant as have a stockist round the corner, It makes a difference if you have the very big bottles as its only about a £10 more than the smaller bottles for nearly twice the amount of gas. cheers andy
  10. i really don`t understand why these covers fetch so much money,  Had one on my saloons for years and have never completely stopped it leaking. Unless you show your car and leave it with the bonnet open nobody see it cheers andy
  11. colin bring them round and i will put them on my mk1 ;D cheers andy
  12. in my opinion the biggest mistake you can make, i put a pair in a mk4 for somebody  a few months ago easy to fit but you just sit to high and not enough movement. I have a pair here which i was going to fit to one of my spitfires but got new foams and making covers for the spitfire seats and putting the mazda ones into a herald If i was looking to buy a spitfire/gt6 and it had mx5 seats i would look elsewhere cheers andy
  13. my mk1 pi has crome rocker cover but mk2 pi plain  also when i had my m3 gt6 that had a plain steel rocker cover so was it only early gt6`s and mk1 pi with the crome cover cheers andy

  18. i have two 2.5 sixes and two 4 cyl spits and one 4 cyl 16v highly tuned triumphs all run on standard starters without a problem, It just seems an upgrade for upgrade sake which is normally more expensive than replacing with a standard starter. cheers andy
  19. The starter on my spitfire spin it over the same no matter how long its been standing, Its the wifes and has only been used twice since november. I have never seen the need for these high output starters when the originals do the job perfectly ok. cheers andy
  20. Had my dolly starter re-conned along with the one for my pi done last year by local company and think i paid £45 for the two but don`t know who done them as a mate of mine works for local motor factors and he sorted it for me. Not a lot of help to you but you should be able to find someone to re-conned it local to you for a lot less than the price of the one on e-bay. cheers andy
