thescrapman
Oneof my customers offerred me some tyres to remove the tread from round the cones as they were just going old in his shed. If I could take them off teh rims.Picked them up Friday, and being inquisative got teh ruler out.Mmmm I thought, 2000 PCD, so i just had to try.Could do with 1/4 inch spacers (and longer studs) at the front. Not really sure.......10 points if anyone can work out what they came offCheersColin

FloydP
They look Japanese to me, Datsun 280 maybe?I've seen a lot worse, slightly bling but a quick blast over with a bit of black paint and they'd stand out less and to my mind be fine. TedTaylor
They look absolutely fantastic - every Triumph should have a pair (for the one side) especially Stag engined estates. 8)Ted

thescrapman
Mr Chatterton is very close.I am starting to suspect they are (luckily) the only set in the country judging by a quick check of howmanyleft.co.ukNot sure if that is a :-) as they are the only set or a :-( as the model is now almost extinct. Lord Sorbington
I think they were called Mitsubishi Colts in the UK.And the wheels don't suit the Triumph........

Doug Paterson
sorbs wrote:I think they were called Mitsubishi Colts in the UK.And the wheels don't suit the Triumph........Before mitsubishi was called Mitsubishi the company was known as Colt. And the car was indeed a Colt Mirage. When the name changed to Mitsubishi that car became the Mitsubishi colt.

The Sapporo was called the Sigma down under. That piccie CRAJ posted brings back memories of my first car, a first generation Mitsi Mirage - with the SuperShift 4x2 'box. Basically a 4 sp with overdrive on all gears including reverse. My grandmother still has a V3000 (top spec Sigma) from brand new - same shape as that Sapporo piccie above - and it is certainly a grand car.And no, another one who doesn't like the look of 'em on the Triumph.
