Tim Bancroft Posted November 6, 2014 Author Share Posted November 6, 2014 The GT6 is back on the road, running a rocker oil feed kit, however this has made the car fumey inside. Intend to take the head off soon and have a butchers at the oilways from the main oil gallery to the outlet in the head, hoping its blocked. However, my feelings are that the engine is tired, so will be looking to re-build the mk2 Vitesse short engine I have in my garage. Hoping the head will need just new guides and lapping of the valves. Took the GT6 to the CT Hants meet the other night, seemed ok. Needs some fettling of the rear end as it felt loose.The Saloon is over with Andy Dann at present, having new sills fitted plus other sundry repairs to the shell done. Then will get the alloys re-furbed and hope that I can use her for another 10 years.The Spitty project has stalled, but will be reactivated in Jan or over Xmas.I intend to enter the 10CR in the saloon with Dave Kent as my co-driver. Can't bloody well wait as I have missed not doing the event and at present have now not done a CT endurance event for over 2 years, too blasted long!
