Nick Jones
Some win, some lose......Win:- Clutch seems to be working properly now having reduced master cylinder size -turns out I had a 3/4" one on there - I have no idea why!- Dodgy fuel hoses renewed.- Heater valve renewed and a couple of random water weeps sorted.- Oil and filter changed.- Gearbox and diff oils checked and ok.Lose:- LH trunnion is well knackered :(. Clearly my MoT man has no idea how to test them!- Wipers very unenthusiastic on low speed and even slower on high.....Nick

Beans
First drive today in a few weeks.Everything works kind of, but the fuel gauge is a bit erratic, probably a dodgy connector :-/Hopefully I will be able to put some miles on it the coming days. Nick Jones
Sorted the Vitesse wipers (I hope). Still need to get and fit the trunnion...... It drives nicely.Balanced the prop on "Plan B" (aka PI) with the help of a couple of jubilee clips - worked a treat. Still can't get the last bit of air out of the clutch hydraulics on the PI :(Nick

sparky_spit
I was doing a bit of final checking of stuff on the Spitfire that I hadn't already replaced/greased/oiled/adjusted/etc., and decided to have a look in the carb float chambers to see if there was any sediment in there. This is what I found in one of them.Is this "last minute preventative maintenance" or what?
